Project Management Workshop

The role of a project manager is to be able to engage a team and associated stakeholders in the process of change. Whether the change organsiational, technical, based on products, processes, IT or physical this course will provide the necessary skills and insights to both manage the projects and the socio-emotional political issues that arise with any change no matter how straightforward it may appear.

By attending this 3 day course delegates will be able to plan, implement and monitor activities in addition to making more effective and efficient use of the business resources required to support a project.

Taking part in the Project Management for Improvement course ensures delegates will:

  • Be able to initiate a project and engage both project team and stakeholders.
  • Be able to describe the PMI project life cycle and how to conduct stage reviews
  • Understand how to apply a "PDSA Mindset" to project management
  • Be able to define project activities and resources, perform risk and contingency planning, monitoring project progress and react effectively to changes
  • Appreciate the importance of the psychology of leading teams, managing change and the handover process.
  • Facilitate the following planning tools in a team context: Affinity Diagram, Interrelationship Diagraph, Systematic Diagram, Matrix, Arrow Diagram and PDPC
  • Review and close projects
